Over these first three months of semester 2, I have been very punctual; ive never been late for a class and had no unexcused absences. i come to every class with a gym strip and i am prepared for the days activities.
I havent had much of a change in fitness this semester, but ive managed to stay at my fitness habits since around november when i started running on my treadmill on days that i didnt get any other physical activity (days i didnt have PE or sports practises/games) and saw my beep test score increase and my endurance and confidence in PE increase quite a bit as well. I've joined the rugby team again this year since basketball season is over and i really enjoy working with the team this year, mainly because my skills have improved and i love helping teach the new members, its actually a lot of fun.
I help my classmates succeed too by encouraging my friends to come to class more often and to put more effort into the activities we do all the time when i see them not trying as hard as they could be. i set a good example to my peers because i take the class seriously and i do not give up when i am tired.
Ocassionally I do get sports injuries and sometimes just regular injuries and I am not able to work at my best. In these times, I try to take it easy but still manage to participate in the activity and balance my effort with the injury to heal as soon as possible.
Over the past about 6-8 months, Ive seen my dietary choices improve drastically. I eat much more fruits and vegetables and a lot of protein in dairy products (yogurt cheese & eggs mostly) everyday and not as much sugary foods, being that i am vegetarian and need as much protein as i can get. i really like being a vegetarian because when i first decided to not eat meat i had a lot more energy.
Some of my goals for the end of the year are to focus on more excerises other than just running. i usually just get my exercise by running, and i'd like to get daily exercise by also working out my other muscles, like we do on fitness days in PE class, such as jumping rope or sit ups and push ups, to work on making my arms and abdomen fit too, not only my legs.
